Spring Open House Set For May 9
You are cordially invited to the Dunsmuir Library’s Spring Open House. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Ron McCloud and Bruce Deutsch will tell a great story, with colorful illustrations, from Dunsmuir’s past. It will be a fascinating and dramatic tale about an early Dunsmuir resident who was influential in the town’s early development, but had a surprising background, amazing experiences, and a connection to the destructive fire of 1903. Yet he is virtually unknown today. Come to the library May 9 to learn more…
This year we have Kevin and Tom providing music throughout the afternoon.
We have a few “fancy” activities for children. Miss Ethel will read her favorite Fancy Nancy book. Any children who come in dressed “fancy” will get a goodie bag. So, find your feather boa, sparkly tiara, flowered hat, bow tie, any tie, top hat, or fedora, and get your goodie bag.
If you forgot to buy one, a “Make Your Own Mother’s Day Card” table will be set up for children and adults.
There will be a $5 Book Bag Sale and a bake sale with “scrumptious” food. (That’s fancy for “delicious” food.)
Raffle items include donations from Dunsmuir Hardware, a photo by Tom Johnson, a Fancy Tea Party basket, and more.
Come join the fun. Learn more about your Dunsmuir Library. Hope to see you there!
